The Horse's Decidedly Different Digestion - The Foundation to Good Health
A close look at what makes a horse unique and its impact on longevity, vibrancy, and prevention of obesity, colic, ulcers, and laminitis
You can feed the best hay, the healthiest pasture, the most expensive feed, and the finest supplements, and none of it will matter without a clear understanding of how your horse processes them. Take a journey inside the horse's body to grasp just how unusual your horse actually is and why it affects every aspect of his health.
So much depends on the horse's "person" understanding the reasons that compel the horse's natural diet and eating habits. Through a deeper understanding of how horses are meant to be fed, many complex ailments can be prevented or alleviated. Conditions such as colic and ulcers simply do not occur. Obesity is remedied. And laminitis risk can be dramatically diminished. Even the progression of equine Cushing's disease can be slowed down.
The information presented will empower you to make the right choices for your horse so you won't need to rely on your neighbor, or your feed store clerk, or "conventional wisdom," or even exclusively on traditional practices for such vital decision-making. You will know the right way to feed and you'll be able to talk knowledgeably to those involved with your horse's care.
“Visit with the Speaker”
Due to the nature of the lecture, Dr. Getty will not be able to answer, in depth, questions from the audience. If you would like an opportunity to interface with her on specific issues regarding your horse and get her undivided attention, please sign up for the "Visit with the Speaker" for an additional $25. In order to allow this level of access to Dr. Getty, the limit is 20 people (first to sign up) who have heard the previous lecture.
This portion of the afternoon will be at the end of the lecture and book signing, and will be an intimate, informal gathering. Not only will you benefit from Dr. Getty's thoughts, suggestions and experience for your specific question, you will have the opportunity to learn more from questions posed by other participants.
